変なSalon

There's a store around here named Henna Elegance Salon. I don't know what henna means in whatever language that is, but in Japanese it means "strange or weird" (変な), so I chuckle a bit whenever I notice the sign.

ヒューストンには「Henna Elegance Salon」というサロンが二軒ある。Hennaは何語か知らないが、見る度に「変なエレガンスサロン」で受け取って「大丈夫かなあ、こんな名前で。売り上げに影響ないのかな」とか冗談で思ってニコニコする。次ぎは何だろう・・・妙なSupermarket?おかしいお菓子?嫌な八百屋??

Hrm... I thought it's just may be the lady owner's name Henna.. :) Joh, may be you thought too much..

Henna is a flowering plant. It can be used to make temporary "body art"....tattoos. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henna
