久しぶりのEnglish

Hey, remember when there used to be English on this blog? Good times, eh? Well, my good friend Sharkbait called me out on that recently. It's weird, as I never actually decided to stop writing English posts. I guess I just kind of entered a zone. I've been feeling my grip on my Japanese loosening a bit in recent months—a depressing feeling, that—and I think that, in part, I just wanted to exercise it a bit more.

久しぶりの英語の記事。最近の記事は日本語ばっかりで、この間アメリカの親友にやや取っちめられた。〈笑〉

You just need to exercise it more. Read more of it, hear more of it, etc.

My recommendations: Get some books on tape in japanese. They don't have to be about japanese, and honestly it'd probably be better if they weren't, because then they'll be a more natural use of the language. That'll give you hours of listening, and be an opportunity to learn about something else at the same time.

Also, do some freelance translation. It doesn't have to be for money, necessarily. The internet is full of weird things people want translated from Japanese.

Hey John, how's it going!

i can definately sympathize with the losing japanese thing. Hell i'm still here and working at a japanese company and even i feel that my japanese is getting crappier by day.

【Kunanへ】 Yeah, I do need to get more input. And I do have that "Thinger" project sitting around, don't I? :-P

【ラジオのヨウへ】 What can I possibly say about this? Well, okay, I laughed. I've seen work by the same people that made this video before, and some of it is pretty good.

【Markさんへ】 Yeah, man, thanks for the comment. You know, you're not the first guy to tell me that. That's a really odd effect.
