Elddon's already shared basically my sentiments. I will, however, add that technically it's Symantec's software - Norton hasn't really been involved much since the brand was sold.

Hoooweee, they're just coming out of the woodwork now. Actually, I didn't know that the brand was even sold. Hm.

Yeah. Actually Norton himself sold his company to them back in 1990; which is to say, probably before you knew the product existed. They kept using the brand because it had credibility. Hell, they kept using his face until about 2001.

I certainly remember the face, but, yeah, I had no idea it all went back so far.

You make me laugh! This is rich! Yeah, you should never use Norton with Windows XP security pack 2. It will slow your computer down and crash your hard drive.
